Biography coming soon.
Hello, My name is Harold B Walker, I am the grandson of PFC Harold B Walker. I was wondering if you had any photos of my grandfather on board the ship or any of the island that he fought on. I know my grandfather was wounded on Iwo Jima.
Mr. Walker – I’m afraid I haven’t come across any photographs of your grandfather yet, but I am always on the lookout – if I do find some, they’ll be added to his page here. You are quite right that he was wounded on Iwo Jima, on February 23 (D+4) – the same day as the famous flag raising.
If you have other questions, or have anything you’d like to see added to your grandfather’s page, please email me at webmaster@ablecompany24.com and I’ll be glad to help.
Best,
Geoffrey
