Hi Daniel,
My daughter just alerted me to your question, sorry for the late response. Yes, that was Sil with the boxing stable at the fire house. He loved training young men for Golden Gloves competition. Sil was the heavyweight champ of the 4th Marine Division and his buddy Sgt. Major Mike “Iron Mike” Mervosh was the middle weight champ. Sil was also an occasional sparring partner for Rocky Marciano.
