Biography coming soon.

William Perkins was my father. When he returned home after the war he wouldn’t talk much about his time/stations/action in the Marines.
I do know he returned home from the Pacific on a hospital ship. He had a lifelong and painful struggle with an infected ankle/leg. He called it ‘jungle rot’.
I would like to know where he was and what he did during the war.
I’m an 89 year old veteran of five years in the Coast Guard.
