  1. I worked for the Colonel. If we had a problem, the Colonel would call me into his office. He would order me to solve the problem. I always solved any problem the Colonel had. When I rotated back to the States, The Colonel gave me a lighter. On it was said, Sgt AJ Manos, it was difficult, good luck. Colonel Wilson L Cook. I don’t think the Colonel agreed on some of the ways I went about solving problems. The USMC was going to promote him to General if he did another tour in the Marines but he told me he had had enough and was going to retire. I loved that guy.
