Citation

C Company was up around in a Japanese strong point called Turkey Knob, which was a communications center. The Japanese had a big concrete pillbox there, and apparently, this was where they had their island communications system, probably radio and telephones, and that. And the damn pillbox was practically impenetrable with anything we had with us. I think this was the day that my friend Al Fellows got killed. He was a very friendly young man, a BARman in our platoon.
