  1. I am a voluteer for Stories Behind the Stars (SBTS), Florida division, whose role it is to write a biography, a warm story, of the young men of Florida who lost their lives in WW2. I part of a huge project to write the story of all Americans who lost their lives in that war. It is my honor to write a story for FOLD.COM in partnership with SBTS on Charles Thomas Etty.

I admit that aside from some family pictures, reading family obituary records, and a study of the USMC quarterly Muster Rolls from April 1944 through January 1945, I have scant information to write as full as story as I believe is deserved. I have read, repeatedly, the account written here of the day of his death and with permission, and proper attribution, I would like to include portions of this very vivid tale in his story.

I thank you for taking the time to consider this, and whatever information you can share as well

    Kind regards, Teresa Scott Jacobson
