Before joining battalion

Trained with Company A, 20th Candidates Class, at Quantico, VA. Commissioned Second Lieutenant on 11 March 1943. Additional training with Reserve Officers’ Class, Quantico.

Assigned to How Company, Second Battalion, 25th Marines in June, 1943.

Transferred to Baker Company, First Battalion, 24th Marines on 27 September 1943.

Important Events:
