Before joining battalion

Boot camp at MCRD San Diego with Fourth Recruit Battalion. Outposted to Operator School Company, Amphibian Tractor Battalion, Camp Pendleton, for additional training. Qualified as amphibian tractor crewman. Transferred to 24th Replacement Battalion, attached to Fourth Marine Division at Camp Maui.

Campaign Narrative

After leaving battalion

Transferred to Headquarters and Service Company, 10th Amphibian Tractor Battalion, on 11 April 1945. Duty with 10th Amphtracs through 5 October 1945; transferred to 5th Amphibian Tractor Battalion. On rolls through April 1946 and subsequent discharge.

Earl died on July 18, 1967, and is buried in Shiloh Cemetery, Ewing, Illinois
