Pharmacist's Mate Charles R. Cochrane.
Charles Cochrane in town on liberty.
Cochrane and Munski, looking unimpressed with the clientele at a Hawaiian bar. The name appears to be "Trader Vic's" - although the popular tiki bar chain was just getting started in the States, there were no branches in Hawaii at the time, and the name appears to be a coincidence.
After his honorable discharge, Cochrane still had to register for Selective Service.
In the late 1940s, Cochrane served with the New York National Guard, and eventually settled in the Empire State.
Cochrane was murdered at his home on 30 March 1986. The Southampton Press, 10 April 1986.
