OMG, Thank you! I’ve never seen Harvey when he was young! Harvey was my other PopPop,my grandparent’s neighbor for over 50 years and I loved him like he was my PopPop. He was married to Mildred.He had sleeves which I thought was odd for such and old guy but my father told me he got them in the Marines and that one time Harvey told my father some things about “the Japs” that my father never forgot. Nobody ever talked about it, my grandfather, paratrooper on D-Day in France, never once spoke of it except when the subject of Germans came up he’d mutter, “smart buggers” because I guess the impressed and annoyed him at the same time. Harvey had a different experience in the Pacific. I loved this man thank you so much for sharing his photo.
