Boot camp at Parris Island with Tenth and Eleventh Recruit Battalions. Transferred to New River, NC, in November 1942.

Camp Pendleton

Important Events:
January 15, 1943 – promoted to Private First Class
May 1 – 10; May 24 – June 16, 1943 – sick at regimental dispensary and USNH San Diego
December 3, 1943 – transferred to USNH Camp Pendleton as patient.

March 22, 1944 – died of lymphosarcoma at US Naval Hospital, Santa Margarita.
