Boot camp at MCRD San Diego. Outposted to Guard Company, Marine Barracks, Naval Ammunition Depot Hawthorne, NV, winter of 1942. Duty at Hawthorne through spring 1943. In July 1943, on rolls of Infantry Battalion, Training Center Camp Elliott, California.
